Western Australia is being asked to set their clocks forward 3 hours so we can watch the commonwealth games live with everyone else in Australia. It’s not going down to well here and I say leave the bloody time alone!

Could you imagine that? The sun goes down around 7pm and comes up around 6am here, so if we wound the clocks forward by 3 hours the sun would go down at 10pm and come up at 9am. I’m telling you, they’re just trying to fuck with Westies minds.

We should just find out how we can break Western Australia away from the rest of Australia and float down to chill with Antarctica. It will be a nice cool change from all this heat and we’ll get to play with snow. Then when the rest of Australia is ready to apologise for treating us wrongly, we might come back, but they’ll have to promise to make more concerts tour Western Australia.

As I was surfing around some random sites I looked at a coke can on my desk, which was sitting next to the MP3 CD player I received for christmas, and I noticed just how much it looks like a coke can. In fact they seem to make a great couple.

Coke + music = love.

Damn it was hot in Perth today, like “I wish I had a pool” hot, or “my shoes are melting” hot. My family and I ventured out to the shops to get my brother something to wear to a wedding. Now you have to understand that he never goes shopping. I mean never, ever, ever. I am his personal carrier monkey that is always sent out to get him some networking cable, a uni book or anything else he needs. So taking him shopping was hard and I now have a horrible headache that doesn’t want to go away.

Maybe if I keep repeating “I wish I had a pool” one will just appear out of no where and a fat little fairy named Bob will tell me it’s mine till midnight when it turns into a tree or something else which is non-poolish. ?:/

Anyways, Tay sent me a CD for christmas with some songs on it, and not only are the songs cool, but the CD is extra cool. You may be thinking “so what it’s a CD”, but it’s a 5inch.com CD with eject case thing. I’m like the hip kid with the cool new toy. 🙂 I might order some more of their CD’s in a few months when I save up some money, they’re so cool.

I made my own font before with the funtastic fontifier.com and used it in the picture above. Hmm. Doesn’t really look like my handwriting, but still cool none the less.

I borrowed a video of ‘Labyrinth’ from a friend a few days back and watched it today. So many memories came rushing back to me while watching it. I – like many people – loved ‘Labyrinth’ when I was little and couldn’t get enough of it. One of the other old movies I liked as a child was ‘The Dark Crystal’, back in its day I thought the FX in the film was amazing. Another movie I really loved is one I can’t really tell you about, because I can’t remember it. I can remember random bits of them film, and I know I loved it, but I can’t remember the name of it or what most of it was about. So maybe you can help me out, below is a list of some of the bits of the movie I remember:

• At the start there is a girl (who’s one of the main characters) that’s in a cage which is drifting slowly down a river. There’s lusciously green grass all around and when the cage finally comes to a stop there’s an apple tree or she finds an apple (not to sure, I just remember a bright red apple).
• She runs into a strange dude on rollerblades (this dude also scared me when I was little) and he takes her to some lady. I think the lady is a queen of the luscious grassy place.
• As far as I can remember the girl is captured by the queen lady and escapes. Upon escaping she goes into a room where the queen has numerous amounts of heads (no for real, she does) and the girl steals some of her perfume and gets away.

This might not sound like such a fantastic movie (except for the numerous heads bit). And since I was so young when I watched it, it probably isn’t, but it has been bugging me for years. If you know what movie I’m talking about please leave a comment. I’ve been thinking about this movie since I was 11 and I can’t remember the name of it. I don’t want to be 50 and then turn on the TV one day and yell “This is it! It’s the luscious grass movie I’ve been searching for all my life.”

I really wish they’d get the name of the website they are emailing right. I’m sure it would improve sales and lower the stupidity level if done.

I’ve been feeling displaced lately. I’ve been walking around my house looking for things to do, making too many pasta bakes and such. I think it’s due to my body getting used to the last few weeks of ‘christmas insanity’ as I like to call it. Christmas insanity is the feeling you get when clean, cook, wrap present and be happy all in the same second. I’m coming down from a christmas high and I want another fix of insanity, but can not find one.

Bugger.

I’ve just found something that will keep me occupied for a while. It’s that time of year when everyone votes for their favourite weblogs, and pimps for nominations and votes. It’s The Bloggies. I’d like to point out there is a ‘Best Australian or New Zealand Weblog’ category (hint hint). You have from now until 10:00 PM January 12 2003, to your favourite weblogs.

I’d also like to note that the christmas ham has left the building. What we don’t know if it walked out on it’s own (as hams tend to do), or my mother put it in the garbage. Hmm.

As you can see (if you refreshed) there’s a new layout up. It’s a simple looking layout, and the picture files and quite small, so maybe it will load faster. I also added various WordPress hacks, and will be adding more at a later date. Tell me your thoughts.

I think I’ve finally made up my mind on what components I want to upgrade to. And before you go nuts and say “your a student, where’d you get the money for that?!”, I saved up for over a year for it. So here are the components I think I shall buy:

• AMD Athlon XP2500+ Barton Core processor
• ASUS A7N8X Deluxe mainboard
• 2 sticks of Hyundai 256Mb DDR PC3200 RAM

I I’d like to get my hands on a ATI Radeon 9600 XT video card, but will only get it if I can sell the old parts to my mother. Its suck up mode time.

I went to the Boxing Day (the day after Christmas for the rest of the world) sales yesterday and I am now paying for it. Not only did I spend way too much, I also ache from carrying the items which I spent way too much money on. Hopefully the madpony girls can relate. But, as a shop assistant said “That’s what the Boxing Day sales are all about”.

Yes, it’s about pain and brokeness.

I bought way too many pairs of shoes, various tops (including another monkey top), g-strings, some tiny evening bags and a book called ‘Molvania’ by the panel crew. $200 worth of stuff I wouldn’t normally buy, but thought ‘what the hell’ since it was all %30 to %50 off.

By the way, does anyone want any ham? We have a fridge full of it and no one wants to look at, let alone eat. ?:/

Heh, I bet only Tay and the SPB boys will get my very merry CSS christmas. For everyone else that doesn’t get it, I’ll explain my day so far.

I was woken up at 9am by my family wanting to rip open all my carefully wrapped presents (or my babies as I’ve loving been calling them over the last few weeks). I got a sweet MP3 CD player, a strange mirror which is makes you look odd (my mother says it’s ‘ornamental’) and money. Which means I’m close to having enough to upgrade.
