My McDonalds Milkshake

I was out shopping today, getting some basic things, when I overheard two young girls talking. They must have been between 8 and 10, but they liked to act like they were more 12 to 14, testing out the make up and acting older then they are. Kelis’s ‘Milkshake’ song was playing in the store, and they started a conversation about it’s meaning:

Young Girl #1: “Why would her milkshake bring all the boys to the yard?”

Young Girl #2: “Maybe it’s like a reallyyyyyy good milkshake.”

Young Girl #1: “Like a McDonalds milkshake?”

Young Girl #2: “Yeah, like a McDonalds milkshake.”

Sweet, pure, little, McDonald’s milkshake loving minds. I hope you never change.

Dear God! How sad is it when the best milkshake you know is the pure pig fat beverage from mcdonalds? That’s quite hilarious! I love stupid people. Oh.. and… I’m in LOVE bwahahaahah

wargs…a McDonalds Milkshake?I think the recipe of the shakes
has been passed over many generations…and most part of the
    shakes too….

Man! Forget about a milkshake I could go for a Frosty!
Do you all have Wendy’s down there La Femme?

Innocence goes where you want it to go.

I’d much rather have a milkshake from dairy queen. And do you mean Kellis isn’t referring to the food milkshake in the song?, what could she possibly be talking about then?.

Personally, I’d have no idea what a McDonalds milkshake tastes like (I am lactose intolerant). They (the two little girls) seemed to think its great, but then they were young. Maybe they had yet to experience any other finer milkshakes.

Matli, we have Wendy’s here down under, but I’m not sure if it’s the same as America’s Wendy’s. Here, Wendy’s just serves ice cream and I’m told there they serve burgers, fries and other foods. I’m guessing a frosty is like a thick shake?

Pugs, we don’t have a dairy queen either (the shame!) and I’ve heard that Kelis says the song is about “shaking your ass” but a lot of people think it’s about… Other things.

Well the point of the story is that innocence is THE one thing we never knew we had until it is completely gone and you can’t get it back…the posts I hope will be more in the same spirit of mine and others. I don’t want to add to the sad social commentary that is out there but the simple joy of ice cream! And striving for the simple things in life!

Yes, A Frosty is a thick milkshake but not. It is a one of a kind…very hard to explain. I would send you one but for fear of it melting would cause detramental loss of its true spirit.

Bets on which franchise will market the Kelis song for promotional use for that thick creamy concoction that I crave!

    Signed,

Looking for a Frosty for an Aussie. 🙂

I hate mcdonald’s milkshakes. They’re not made from ice cream. They’re made from powder nastiness. Ewww. I’m all about the local love of Burgerville and In n Out!

I had a similar experience recently. My family and I were visiting my grandpa’s grave when we see this little boy walking around singing Milkshake loudly. I couldn’t help but laugh.

I wonder if they’d still keep their innocence after they see the music video…

I’ve heard (I think on Channel V) that it’s about her breasts, though watching the music video she shakes both her arse and breasts…

It shits me when people say McDonalds thickshakes etc are made from pig fat/powder/whatever. Anyone who’s actually worked there will know that they are actually made with… milk. Go and read the ingredients panel on a box of shake mix. It’s milk plus some thickeners and shit. I worked a McDonalds for a year and a half, Hungry Jacks for six months, and they both use basically the same shit. OOMPH!

Back on topic… silly girls 😛

well, I looked up the words to that song, which by the way I have yet to hear, but I dont see anything overly graphic about it. I guess you could argue that it has some sort of double meaning, but it’s not very obvious. Frankly I’ve heard worse songs.

Milkshakes are odd. I like plain banana and milk shakes that I make. they’re yummy

I wish the song really was about milkshakes, the world is just way oversexed as it is. I strive for simpler times when the worst things on tv was elvis shaking his hips. The school I graduated from back in 98′ this last year had 12 junior high (11-13 y/old’s) pregnant 😦 Sad

My husband and I have debated what this song could be about. I happened to think about it today while at the computer and Googled it. That’s how I found this site and another one with a disturbing ‘answer’:

“do u even knowwhat thesong is about??????its about a prostitute who has a bizarre way off getting men off. placing the balls in a glass while she blows bubbles through a straw. i luv the song too.” Posted by: Jussy at February 1, 2004 10:30 PM
